DHCDC Re Entry Program
This comprehensive model is designed to support the following goals:
- Enhance public safety by reducing recidivism among the formerly incarcerated population;
- Build individual capacity of the formerly incarcerated to be a productive member of the family and community;
- Link program clients to appropriate support services;
- Support the community and correctional capacity to address the formerly incarcerated needs and identify community resources to match to assessed needs. i.e. education, child support, identification and health care.
- Reduce inter-generational offending through family reunification.
- Provide transitional housing.
- Assist with job search.
