DHCDC Re Entry Program

This comprehensive model is designed to support the following goals:

  • Enhance public safety by reducing recidivism among the formerly incarcerated population;
  • Build individual capacity of the formerly incarcerated to be a productive member of the family and community;
  • Link program clients to appropriate support services;
  • Support the community and correctional capacity to address the formerly incarcerated needs and identify community resources to match to assessed needs. i.e. education, child support, identification and health care.
  • Reduce inter-generational offending through family reunification.
  • Provide transitional housing.
  • Assist with job search.
